I still have a Series 1 Apple Watch and just got a new iPhone 11 Pro Max. I want to sell the AW Series 1 and upgrade to the new AW5, but I want to make sure the watch can pair first and upgrade for a buyer. Ever since I got my new phone my watch won't pair and when I tried to reset the watch, now I can't do anything with it. I have the blue galaxy screen that my phone won't recognize and even when I try to pair manually, my watch is not showing up in my Devices list on the phone.

I read somewhere that Watch OS 6 will be out later this year for older watches, and that may?? solve the problem, but how would I even go about upgrading the OS on the watch if Im still stuck on the pairing screen?

Does anyone have any advice on how I can get around this in order to sell it? I traded in my old phone so I don't even have one not running iOS13 any longer to at least get it paired temporarily.

Have you worked though the steps here?

Yes. The first few steps are only applicable if I can use the watch. I'm stuck on the pairing screen currently.

The remainder of the article is telling me to unpair and then re-repair which is where I'm stuck. I've unpaired the watch, but when I attempt to re-pair, it won't recognize it automatically or manually.
