Hi, I bought a fake PS3 controller, which when I tried to pair with my Mac, asked for a passcode. I entered "0000", which made it "finalise the pairing", and then disconnect. (There was no small time of connection in which to "Add to favourites" or "Update Services").
After reading around, I realised I probably needed a real PS3 controller, if I wanted to connect to my Mac. So I bought a Sony DualShock 3 Six Axis controller. Now, when I try all the methods that anybody has posted, my Mac recognises it as a keyboard, and wants me to input a random set of numbers using the controller (which has no number keys). I have yet to find a post on how to pair, without inputing a number, which in this case is impossible.
I don't mind which of my two controllers I end up connecting, I just want to connect at least one... Please help!
(I am running Lion 10.7.4 on a 2011 MBA).
