Im trying to Partition a Western Digital 500gb Hard Drive formatted in MS-DOS (FAT). I'm thinking it might not partition because its not formatted in Mac Journaled. Can I keep FAT32 and still be able to partition it?
Thanks tons.

You can have one HDD with both a FAT32 partition and a separate OS X (HFS) partition, but using OS X Disk Util I am not aware of a way to resize the existing FAT32 partition without losing the data on it.

I know there are Windows tools to resize. Not sure if there are aftermarket OS X tools to do this or not?

Can you copy the FAT32 data to your computer then setup the partitions like you want and move the data back?
