Can't play back 4K video shot with my iPhone

I use Filmic Pro to shoot with the highest data rate, I think it is 100mbps, in 4K, and drag straight from iTunes to my Early 2015 MBP, Intel Core i7, 3.1 GHz, 16 GB. to get the highest quality possible. However, I am unable to play the file back in the Quicktime player or Adobe Premiere without it lagging and stuttering. Is there some other player, or way that I can at least watch the videos? I'm not trying to bring anything from a high end camera, just my iPhone...
