Hey guys,
I tried playing a DVD in my Mac Pro the other day, but I couldn't get it to run in DVD Player.

When I load the disk in, it does not show up on the Desktop or in the Finder, although it does come up in Disk Utility. (I've checked the view preferences in the Finder)

The disk plays fine under VLC Player, but DVD Player just won't run it!

It's a regular, commercial DVD and I've tried several DVD's with no success. Music CD's work fine, as do blank disks with burning files.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Also, my optical drive is a stock SONY DW-D150A
