Went to play a DVD today, using my super drive mounted in an external USB caddy. Immediately upon inserting the DVD, I got the error message 'A valid DVD drive could not be found. [-70012].

Now I did a google, and immediately found this is a common issue, that comes with attempting to play DVDs using an external DVD drive. The easiest solution; play the DVD using VLC... Great I thought, I've already got that...! Except it won't work, I've tried it with two DVDs, I've tried playing straight from the VIDEO_TS folder; no cigar, just a bunch of errors...!?

I know the drive works, as it had no issues when it was in the machine, and it's also played CDs fine, while in the USB caddy...
