It's a MacBook 2006 I can't play CDs or DVDs and I can't seem to get Mac diagnosis to work either. When I try to play a DVD in DVD player it says supported disk not avalible
HELP!!!
 
Does the drive read DVDs but not play them, or not play them at all? (i.e. can you see the contents of the disc in finder?)

Have you tried playing the disc with VLC? In VLC go to:

File>Open Disc>find Video TS files>click on the Video TS in the disc and press open
