Hi,

Right now I have a late 2004 iBook G4 with 1.2 Ghz processor, 768 Ram.
I have Leopard installed (10.5.8) and just made sure I have software up to date.

YouTube is choppy but watchable at 360p, 480p is a no go.
However, I want to play a DVDrip 700mb movie with VLC and it's unwatchable, even the sound is stuttering.
I was given this iBook, maybe the video card would be somewhat dead.. I wouldn't know.

Streaming news sites is ok, everything is pretty much fine, I can even sync my 4S with this thing.
Would the RAM be an issue ? I know I can upgrade to 1.25gb but first I want to make sure that everything else is ok.

Any thoughts ?

you have lot's of threads here about youtube, videoplaying and even some tips on the FAQ on my sig, why don't you give it a read?

Thank you !!

1.1.9 did the magic :D

@skinniezinho To be honest, at first I checked your thread but I wanted to find the info fast. Will check it right now for maybe improving my video streaming 360p. Any quick advices ?
