Can't play this AVI video

I've tried vlc to play it, the crappy windows media player, and quicktime and none can play it.

The vlc error message says: mpeg_system: unable to determine stream type

So I'd really appreciate if anyone can help.

Sounds like the file or header information may be corrupt, else it would be telling you the FourCC type and why it can't play it under VLC, at least. You might like to try MPlayer, since it handles iffy files a lot better than VLC.

Where can I get Mplayer? I'll search versiontracker just to see if its there.

Edit: hmm... It plays but the video is not playing. Maybe it is corrupt but anyone else want to suggest something else? Much appreciated.
