Cant play with other People bluetooth 2g?

Hey guys, i got SFIV yesterday, and i wanted to play with my bro. When he goes on (He has a ipod touch 3g) he has an Icon that says "versus" while i seem to be missing it. I also had this problem with Blades of Fury, where he would have multiplayer, and i wouldnt even have the icon. I have a 2g iphone updated to 3.1.2, unlocked and jailbroken. Anyone know whats up?

I dont think that feature is supported for 2G iphones.
