I just added a Linksys Router to my home setup to add another Mac, and just can't get my Apple LaserWriter 12/640 PS to print. I come out of the cable modem into the Linksys Router; out of the router and into a Switch which feeds two iMacs and the printer.

My status window says 'preparing data' and the green printer light blinks. After 12 or 15 minutes, the doc. is dropped from que, ready light stops blinking, and the Printer status window says 'no job printing.'

Any ideas?

Why the switch and the router? I presume that you have a four-port router and you are connecting only three devices. More important--how did you setup your printer if you cannot communicate with it?
