cant print to a windows printer

I was able to browse to the printer, when i set it up.The computer is not password protected at all, (nor the printer)

When i went to print I get this error...

I get that too sometimes....its a problem with the driver. Make sure you select the appropriate printer from the drivers list.

Well i havnt installed any drivers for it, mainly because i cant find any...
it is a HP laserjet 1012, When i put the tiger install DVD in and install the H drivers from it,
i still got have the model number i need on the list. so i just selected generic.
