I have done a thread search and so far have not found a solution to my problem. I have an Epson RX500 printer hooked up to my Airport Extreme via USB. I can print to it perfecly well from my iMac G5 over my Airport network via Rendezvous, but when I try to print via Airport from my iBook running 10.2.8, it gives me an error message shortly after waking up the printer and then stops the job. Print Center shows that the iBook finds the printer on the network just fine. I just can't figure out why I am getting these communication errors between computer and printer. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This happens to me with my Brother. Somehow Rendezvous has trouble seeing the printer. Sometimes it's there, but it's me. I have found that if I give the printer when it is on Rendezvous a different name, of course this doesn’t help find it.

Try this.
Power cycle computer, Airport and Computer- search.

If it still isn't there, then power cycle the printer again.- search

If it still isn't there, power cycle the Airport.- search.

That’s my routine.

I hope it helps.

Post script, you can charge your iPod Shuffle and your phone from the Airport USB port- at least I can.
