Can't print to Laserjet 1020

Strangest of issues. I have a LJ1020 connected via USB, and it simply won't print. No errors, no nothing - Lion seems to think everything works. I've tried with the embedded Laserjet Series PCL driver as well as the most recent Gutenprint drivers. Like I mentioned, there are no error messages, so it doesn't seem like a driver issue. Anyone experiencing similar issues?

After running software update, I downloaded the "HP Updated driver pack" or wossname, without helping.

I am however running Fusion with XP on the very same installation - and it prints like a charm when directly connected to the VM...

Did you ever get this to work? I've been holding off on upgrading until I'm sure I can print with my laserjet 1020.
