Can't print with my Epson after Yosemite

Hello,

After upgrading to Yosemite I can't print with my Epson SP R270. At the same time the App Store has installed on my MBP 13 the latest Epson drivers,
I can't print. The Mac printer can't identify the printer.
I have erased the printer from my Printer control panel, and then added it to the control panel and it is there, but the printer can't print.
What can I do to convince my Mac to print?

but are the latest drivers specifically for Yosemite? What does Epson say on their site?

Can't print with my Epson after Yosemite

I upgraded to Yosemite without updating any printer drivers and my Epson 7800 prints fine. I did check to see if the drivers were compatible first, on the Epson Website.

A quick check shows a driver available for your printer with software update.
