iPod Can't Purchase Music?

I've been working on this one for about an hour, and haven't made any progress...

When I try to purchase an album via iTunes, I get an error "Purchase of this item is no longer available. This item is being modified. Please try again later."

The thing is, it comes up with anything I try to purchase. On my PC, it works fine, but I don't use my PC for music. I can't figure out what could be the problem.

Any ideas???

Does your system run the newest version of iTunes? If not, i'd try that. If it does, i'd try a reinstall of iTunes.

Credit Card Processing Unavailable

I've been getting this error message for the last two days from iTunes Store. It won't let me buy anything. I am paying through PayPal and my account is fine. I think.

Tried logging in and out of the store to no avail.

This happened to me a couple weeks ago. I called support and they had me delete a bunch of cookies from Safari preferences....in the security section. Said they can get corrupted. I have no idea what they were. Apparently it happens frequently because when I explained it to the tech, she knew exactly what to do.

I'm having the same problem...I wonder if it is system wide or just a coincidence that a number of people are getting the same message???

I'm having a similar issue. Everytime I try to buy I get an error. I deleted the music from my cart and readded it. No dice. Logged out and back in. No dice. I'm frustrated!

Sounds like a problem with the iTMS, not your computers...

Just got an email from iTMS, seems to be a form letter thing, but anywho:

We are sorry that you are having difficulties purchasing music from the
iTunes Music Store. We have received feedback from some customers
alerting us of a problem in the configuration of this item. The selection
have been temporarily removed from the store while we investigate the
issue. Please do not attempt to purchase this album within the next 2
weeks as our engineers are working diligently to solve this error.

-It seems there are quite a few items that are srewy right now... So we're not just going crazy. Oh, Well, off to eBay...

The weirdest thing? I was able to buy my cart on my PowerBook. I kept getting errors on my iMac so I decided to try the PB and it worked. So WTH? It was the exact same songs and everything. I prefer to use my iMac so any advice?

WhatI ended up doing was buying on my PC and copying the AACs to disk, then putting them on my PB. It's annoying, but the best I can do for now...
