iPod touch Can't put earphone into jack

Hello, my iPod touch has an issue, I'm unable to plug earphones in, they just don't fit, and are stuck on headphones, any ideas? iPod Touch 16GB, no front back camera

Take a paper clip or something and dig out all of the dust and pocket lint from the inside of the headphone jack. I have had to do this, and it works wonders!

Thanks I was thinking of that too, maybe some compressed air too.
