I have a white, 2008 MacBook with Snow Leopard.
At random times when using the Airport on some free wi-fi connection, the connection drops. And when I go "yo-yo" the wireless connection, I *cannot* turn it back on?!
The only way to fix this is re-booting.
I had this same issue last summer to where my laptop was all but useless.
I then bought and installed Snow Leopard and the issue seemed to be fixed.
But after installing a 500GB HDD this past November, the same issue is re-appearing now...
Is this a hardware issue (e.g. wireless modem or motherboard)?
Software issue (e.g. Snow Leopard)?
Corrupted User Profile?
I sure hate to have to waste an entire day of my life re-building my old clunky MacBook if there is a larger issue at hand...
Thanks,
Debbie
