Can't Re-install the OX system

Anybody help !!

All of a sudden!!

My G4 Mac running OSX 10.3.9 wont recognise either the OX re-install disks or my Techtool pro 4 disk.
but it can't be the drive as it will recognise and mount any data disks ,all audio disks and prg disks .

Any suggestions would be great co's i'm stuffed !!

Are you holding down the c key when you turn the computer on? Hold it and keep it held down until the computer is booted.

i assume you have tried restarting and holding the C key?

are they clean disks?

If C doesn't work then try selecting the disc (when inserted and mounted) in System Preferences, under the Startup Disk pane. Alternatively, hold OPTION at startup.
