Can't re-install X11 on Snow Leopard using install disk.

I need to re-install X11 (Snow Leopard 10.6.3) but when I insert the OS X disk 1 and open the Optional Installs it is all greyed out apart from 'Printers'. In fact, apart from Printers I cannot select X11 or anything else at all. Why is it greyed out and not allowing the optional installs to be selected?

I'm logged is as the only Admin and have restarted the machine all to no avail. Can anyone tell me how to get around this?
