Can't Receive Emails

I have gone through everything that I can think of, checked preferences, activity, connected through the doctor and still nothing is coming through. I can send out no problem but just cannot receive.

I have the Mac OS X.

What email account do you have? Gmail? Yahoo? Another domain?
What app are you using for email? Mail.app? Entourage? Outlook? Something else?
What type of account is it? IMAP? POP?
What do you have specified as your incoming and outgoing mail servers?
