I apologize if this is the wrong forum. My ISP is ATT. I can send and receive email through my U-verse port but only send through Thunderbird.I've followed the instructions and have done every variation I can think of for the incoming POP.Any ideas. Thanks

Butch

problem solved I think..swell so far..thunderbird is very finnicky. It rejected my att password many times then accepted it.

The trick is on outgoing POP DON"T check use secure authentication but do select SSL/TLS for connection security port is 995

In outgoing SMTP do the same but be sure to enter your email addy as username.port is 465

This is info att doesn't give on their help page or links and the tech help didn't know.Hopefully this will show up on a google search and help someone.
