Can't recover clips from iMovie HD Trash

I'm hoping someone might have a fix for this weird issue....I've been working on a short movie for school and iMovie has crashed twice now But it did save the clips I've imported since the last Save in the trash. However I can't drag them out of there into the clips pane, and I really don't want to re-import all the footage. Any ideas?

Make sure you are in edit mode not import. Same thing messed me up for a couple minutes just now till I made the change. Little late on the reply and you probably have already figured it out by now, but just in case.

The problem did eventually go away, although I'm not really sure how...what you said certainly could've been a possibility in my case, I just didn't notice. Thanks anyway!

glitch in quitting

Sometimes, if you just quit the program completely, and reopen it, everything will work alright. This works with all mac OS related programs.
