So I was in the process of updating the software on my iPod Touch and while doing so it failed. So it's now in recovery mode with the picture of the connect to itunes message on the screen. But each time I start recovery, it fails. I uninstalled itunes and downloaded and installed the most recent version, but it still fails to recover the ipod. I'm on a pc. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Is the iPod touch under warranty?

Nope, but I resolved the issue. I plugged it into one of the USB ports on the back of my tower, and it worked. Never had an issue with the front USB ports before. In fact, I just updated 2 Nanos in the family with the front USB ports with no issues. Oh well, got it done.
