Can't RecoverWord "Ghost" File

Hi, I am using a 2011 Microsoft Word. Yesterday word crashed and a file that had already been saved in one of my folders disappeared. I wasn't working on it at the time word crashed - it was saved but open.
When I go to file/open recent I can see it but there is no size, no date when it was created or opened, though there is a location. However, it is not in that location. It used to be there but just disappeared. Any ideas how to recover it? Attached is a screenshot.

If it was on my mac, I'd use Time Machine. Is that option available to you or don't you take backups?
