On Firefox I'm used to switching between browser Tabs using "Ctrl ~", "Ctr Shift ~" to shift backwards. On Mac, it's an akward scheme of buttons for both browsers which I'd like to change.

I've tried the Apple Keyboard remapping in the Preference Tab assigned specifically for Safari and Camino - but for the most part it doesn't work: the first switch might be succesfull, but then Safari highlights address bar and custom shortcuts no longer work unless I click on "Window" in the menu bar.

Any suggestions on how to make custom shortcuts work always for these browsers?
