Can't remove it from desktop

It,s a blank Excel Workbook templet. It says XLSX on it. When i try to put into the Trash it tells me that it can not be moved to the trash because it can,t be deleted

Is this on a standard or admin account?
Try restarting holding the shift key to get into safe mode and attempt to delete the item
