Can't resize iPhoto '11 Window

How could I make iPhoto to be only on half of the screen?
There is a minimum size that prevents the window from being smaller.

I have a 15" MBP, and I am really annoyed because the Window covers almost 75% of the screen, and I want to make it smaller horizontally so I can see a video on the other half of my screen while doing some stuff with iPhoto.

Why can't this be adjusted?

For what it's worth, you are experiencing normal behavior for iPhoto 11, and there doesn't appear to be a way to circumvent this sizing limitation.
