Ah, trying to install Ubuntu, I see. Since Lion doesn't have an install disc, is your Recovery Partition still intact? If it is, then try booting from it, and running Disk Utility from there. (Hold +R at startup)

I've seen linux distro installs completely ******* with the partition mapping on macs (10.6 at least). As recommended, try from the recovery partition.
