So,

Basically I uninstalled some languages to try and get some space back on my internal drive. I unchecked 'English (United Kingdom)' and 'English (United States) so that they would not be uninstalled, but failed to uncheck 'English'. My mac wont run any applications apart from iTunes.

So, I took a recent backup from my external drive, plugged everything in and started from the OSX DVD. Tried to restore and got a message saying that the sizes can't be verified. Those are not the exact words I got but something to that effect.

So would it be possible to wipe the internal drive and then use migration assistant to get all my files back onto the mac from the external drive?

Just want confirmation before I do it...

Thanks.
