Can't restore ipad

Hey, I hope you can help.

I've been trying to restore my iPad (1st gen) but keep getting an unknown error 3194.

I've tried updating iTunes, I've restored my host file, I've added and removed apple ip from it and I've tried tinyumberrlla.

I've also tried dfu mode and still the same error.

Any ideas?

Computer is windows 7 32bit ultimate.

Thanks, I'll give it another go later.

I did try that tick/untick thing with TU, I also tried manually removing the lines from hosts file and even ran the microsoft hosts file 'fix it' that restored it to default. None worked.

I had exactly the same problem when 4.0 and 4.1 were released but a reboot of the PC cleared them times. this time it doesn't want to know.

Very annoying!
