I have just re-installed my operating system (Tiger) on my late 2007 iMac. When I start the system it comes up with the goofy welcome video, then looks for a keyboard. The wireless keyboard is there with fresh batteries, but after about 30 seconds I get a message that I must restart my computer by pressing and holding the on/off switch. Of course when I do that, the sequence repeats. What are my options??

Help please - I'm desperate! Any ideas would be appreciated!
Many thanks in advance.

Do you have a wired keyboard you can substitute for the wireless one?

If so, do that, then restart.
Any better?

Hold the power key on the keyboard at startup, this is a known problem in ML and might be your problem too even though it's on an earlier Mac, or just do what the above poster said, connect a wired keyboard.
