Can't review my itunes Apple ID

so I have a new mac and I want a new apple ID. I'm able to make one but when I have to review it requires that I put in either a credit card or paypal(there is no "None" option).
Is there anyway to get around this?
If I ever plan on buying anything through the App Store/iTunes I want to use a giftcard.

If you have a credit card just use it and as soon as your account is created you can delete it from the account.

Awesome, I wasn't aware that you could delete the credit card afterwards.
Also at the store, the guy told me since I just bought my Mac I'm supposed to get a free download of Lion whenever that comes out, is that true?
