Well -- like the title says. TV is in one room, Apple TV is in an AV closet over 30' away. The process appears to involve the iPhone and Apple TV communicating via Bluetooth, but it won't work from that far away.

Apple: Please come up with an alternate means of kicking off the calibration for those like me who don't have their Apple TV immediately adjacent to their TV.

Seems as though this should work if both the ATV and the iPhone are on the same WiFi network.

I hope you can find a workable solution; the difference is quite dramatic.

Can you access the HDMI ports on the TV? I’d say just bring the Apple TV to it and plug it in temporarily. Perform the calibration. Then put it back into the closet.
