Can't save completed 1040 in Preview

I downloaded a 1040 pdf and filled-in the blanks using Preview. When I go to save, it forces me to save as another file name. After file is saved, the filled-in data is gone!

Is Preview not compatible with fill-in forms? Is there a work-around? I would rather not install adobe reader if possible.

I'm Having the same problem as T-Mac!

I can't save any completed PDF's with the new Preview.

It worked fine withe Tiger's Preview.

Leopard's preview asks me to save as another name, and once it has saved all the information's gone!

Please Help!
