I bought an iPad today. Came with 4.3.5. Obviously can't be jailbroken and was about to update to iOS5 and wait.. however talking to a fine fellow on the Macrumors IRC (ciTiger) it would be a good idea to save blobs.

-Opened tinyumbrella
-saved blob for iOS5GM
-didn't save it for 4.3.5 (which it's on)

Anyone encountered this before? TIA!

You can only save blobs for whatever firmware Apple is still signing. Apple stopped signed 4.3.5 a few weeks ago now. It doesn't matter if its still the version you're running - the blobs are obtained from Apple, not your iPad.

Usually, when a new iOS version is released, you have just a few days before the old version is no longer signed.
