I'm in OSX 10.6.3. New mac user. I have an external hard drive connected to my new macbook pro through USB. I am able to read and access the files on this NTFS drive perfectly fine. However, I am unable to search the drive using Spotlight. Simply, no results show up, even for files that are obviously on the drive. How do I get OSX to allow me to search this drive?

Thanks

As Mac OS X can't natively write to NTFS formatted volumes, it can't create a Spotlight index, which is saved on the external HDD. I haven't had an NTFS formatted HDD in years, so I don't know, if NTFS-2G could help you with that, as NTFS-3G gives Mac OS X NTFS write capability.
