can't search for apps?

I can't seem to search for apps in iOS6. I can use siri to find them, but they are not showing up in the search results when I search the phone. It finds similar sounding notes, contacts, bookmarks, but not apps. :/

Make sure Applications is ticked in Settings - general - spotlight search.
