Cant see a 3gp video, only sound

Ok so a friend recorded a video (3gp) on her iPhone 4 and sent it to my Blackberry phone. I can't view it on my phone so i emailed it to my Mac computer and I can only hear sound, no video. I've tried quicktime, VLC, Realplayer... everything... and still I hear only sound. What do I need to view this video???
