I have an older PowerMac G4 networked, via Ethernet, to a PC running Windows XP. I have shared folders set-up on the PC that I can mount on my Mac. They have been available for over a year. I just recently upgraded to Tiger from 10.3x. Under Network, I can see the alias for the PC, but when I double-click it, I get the message, "The alias "RIPIT" could not be opened, because the original item cannot be found." This problem arose immediately after upgrading to Tiger. So I suspect that a file was replaced or a setting was reset, etc. I checked the PC settings and they appear to be fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Can't see networked PC anymore after upgrading to Tiger...

I would, but as the error message says, the original can't be found. That is the problem.
