Can't seem to find the downloads folder - any suggestions?

I no longer have a downloads "stack" in my dock, and when I open Finder, downloads is not an option. And my last downloaded file does not show up under "All Files". What did I do? Or better yet, how do I get it back??

You can drag folders to the Dock. The Downloads folder is in your user folder.

If you can't find the Downloads folder in Finder either, you've probably deleted it. If it's still in trash, you can Put Back (Cmd+Bksp), otherwise just recreate a new folder (Shift+Cmd+N) named Downloads in your Home folder.
You could also point your browser a different place to store your downloaded files to.
