Can't seem to get ATV+ working right

OK...Have had the Apple TV box for quite a while, but never really used it.
so now I want to watch something on ATV+..
It asks for iTunes password, enters correctly
On Laptop, asks if you want to allow login...Answer Yes..
Puts up 6 digit allow code
BUT unable to find out where to enter the code.
I must be doing something wrong.,,
