Overall, the upgrade to snow leopard seems alright, but while I do think there are some improvements, I just can't get used to the way it now behaves. I loved the way exposé behaved up until the release of snow leopard.

+Names appear under each window, rather than only when you hover on them.
+It shows hidden windows.
+Dock filters windows.

-Huge waste of screen real estate compared to the old exposé.
-Grid makes it harder to find a specific window. Windows aren't in alphabetical order, nor do they shrink to a position relative to where they were originally.
-The removal of relative window sizes makes the bigger windows (And usually more important) harder to read. And it can be disorienting to see some windows 100% their original size, while others are 25% as big as they were pre-exposé.
-Less smooth.

I really wish there was an option to trigger the old exposé behavior back :(
Anybody else have any thoughts?

Okay, I can agree with you on that. In Leopard it was easer to find a window by its size more quickly than its content.

I also hate the blue border, I wish it took the set highlight color.

Otherwise, I like the new features, especially showing the minimized windows.
