Cant send email in MacMail

All,

My MacMail 4.5 just quit sending emails, on several accounts, mostly Gmail. I can receive, connection doctor says everything's ok, checked connections, but nothing sends.

But I can receive, and the internet works fine.

And, I get no messages, warnings, etc... it just grinds away like it's gonna send and nothing.

Pulling my hair out... ideas?

check your outgoing server settings, normally looks like smtp.abcd.com with specific port number 25 for example.
