I know that there are a number of existing threads on this topic, but as best I can tell I've followed the advice found there and am still not having any luck.
The situation is that I'm trying to make my IMAP e-mail account (hosted by A Small Orange) my main account. Gmail now gets forwarded there, for example. The good news is that I can access this IMAP account from both my iPhone and Entourage 2004, and everything seems to work properly (both sending and receiving e-mails).
The bad news is that while Mail.app can "see" all of the folders on the IMAP account, it won't let me (1) save drafts that I'm composing in Mail.app or (2) send mail via my IMAP account. I've set the IMAP path prefix to "INBOX" (which seems to be the right choice since I can see the remote folders). I've also tried the business of selecting the "INBOX/Drafts" IMAP folder and then choosing "Use this folder for Drafts", etc. but that doesn't seem to work.
I'm working around this, for now, by saving drafts to a local folder and sending messages via the Gmail account. And this is probably good enough, but it's really bugging me that Mail.app won't play nice.
Any suggestions?
