So I have some scripts that I use that depend on mutt (which I installed via fink on both Tiger and Leopard) to send me emails from time to time.
I did a clean install of Leopard a few weeks ago, and ever since then I haven't been able to make mutt work. I've tried it from fink and darwin ports, neither of those worked. I've tried sendmail and mailx (which I believe came with Leopard, I haven't installed them unless they were dependencies for something in fink) and neither of those work either. I've tried sending to both my gmail and hotmail accounts, and its just plain not arriving (gmail used to put them in the spam box, but now they are simply not in any mailbox).
I installed Little Snitch, which reported that mutt was trying to connect, but it seemed like it would try to connect to one server, then wait like 5-30 seconds (no sign of activity) then try to connect to another.
Does anyone have any idea what the hell is going on here? This is driving me insane.
