for the past couple of days i have not been able to send or receive email.
i use the paid yahoo service so i have pop access and my username and passwords are correct, my internet connection is working, and i can still access my mail through the website.

i keep getting this error message:

The server returned the error: The connection to the server “pop.mail.yahoo.com” on port 995 timed out.

More Details:
ISP-Verizon
Incoming mail server- pop.mail.yahoo.com
Outgoing server- smtp.mail.yahoo.com
default ports
ssl is checked
authentication-password

help?:confused:
 
If 995 won't work for you, change to 587 and post back.

still not working...

it may be problem with my ports because i cannot log in to the PSN either.

I'm trying to figure out how to check the ports through the wireless router.
 
thanks for all the help guys!

it turns out someone changed the security settings through verizon so all of the ports were blocked. i went in an undid everything so alls well.
