everytime i try to send or receive a file it fails, and says:
"File Transfer Error
Could not send file “resume.doc” to L**** <l******>:
An error occurred."

same thing happens for word documents, mp3's, anything.

this is the console log:

2004-02-08 22:58:23.319 iChatAgent[1155] WARNING: AIMFileXferListener::OnStateChange: unknown error cat=3,code=14,subcode=0

its iChatAV version 2.0 on 10.3.2 powerbook G4 w/ 512 RAM.

i used to be able to send files, it doesn't work anymore - i don't know when it stopped.

things i have already tried:
-repaired permissions
-trashed .plist files
-ran maintenance scripts (worth a shot....)

any help?

thanks!

no, just the same one i've always had on - the mac os x one in the network preferences

i've never had a problem w/ it before

If you are using AirPort, there is a built in firewall that won't let you transfer files via any chat program. Also if the person with whom you are chatting has an active firewall installed it might not let you transfer files. In other words, both parites can't have any kind of firewall active to transfer files over AIM or iChat.
