I'm hoping someone here can help me with this. I'm having issues with a jailbroken iPhone 3g.
This used to be my old phone with AT&T (it was legit and not jailbroken then), and it was fully working while I had it. I jailbroke it about a month ago for my husband to use. So far, everything is working except SMS. My husband can receive texts, but he can't reply to them or send them.
But here's the weird part, he CAN send MMS without issue. So right now, if he wants to text someone he has to send a photo along with the text and then it goes though. But any replies to it, or plain SMS get a "send error" on the phone.
We do have text messaging on our phones so I'm not sure what the issue is here. I read on another forum that it could be the sim card? It's an older sim card, it still says Cingular on it. Could that be the problem? If so, how can I correct it without having to go to AT&T for a new card? I'd like to keep the phone jailbroken.
I would really appreciate any suggestions you all might have.
