Not sure if this is the right forum but here goes.

a couple of years ago I set up my wife as a user on my MacBook Pro.
I put my iTunes library into my public folder & she shared my iTunes library
so it saved space & it worked flawlessly.

Last week I formatted my MBP as it had slowed down with several operating
systems on top of each other & installed a fresh copy of Sierra then set my
wife up as a user.

I put my iTunes library into my public folder right clicked, got info & shared
all files.

When I go into my wife account & open up iTunes whilst pressing option it asks
me to choose a location but when I click on my iTunes library it comes up with
the following error....

"the iTunes Library Extras.itdb file is locked, on a locked disk or you do not have
write permission for this file"

Ive spent all day on the internet trying but nothing.

Kindest,

Jeff
